Becky started her Music Industry journey in 2014 when she moved from Leeds to London to study Music Business at University. This is where she simultaneously received a First Class Honours Degree alongside completing several music industry internships with the likes of Glassnote Records, Kontraband Merchandise and Sony Music UK. This ranged from working with the whole of an indie label team, to understanding merchandise production and then international marketing in a major label. From this she went on to work with the Visual Creative team at 4th Floor Creative Group within Sony Music where she co-ordinates a team of Creative Directors and Commissioners who produce award winning Music Videos, including that of Little Mix, Beardy Man and Brittany Howard.
The 25 year old comes from a creative background; she studied music performance and technology at Leeds College of Music in 2011, but also has a passion for all aspects of the creative industries, including fashion design and creative direction for photoshoots where she would design and make clothes and produce photoshoots alongside her college and university career. At University, Becky felt as though there wasn’t a great awareness of networking events within the creative industries with accessible women figureheads and so, in 2019, she joined the incredibly passionate and talented team of women at Women Connect in hopes to help bring a strong network of women in the industry together.
