Lesbian Visibility Week is a seven day long (20th April - 26th April) event was created by Diva Magazine to “celebrate lesbians and show solidarity with all women in our community”. April 26th marked Lesbian Visibility Day and the official end of the week long celebration. But no need to stop there! Last week is an important one for many communities and to be clear, we NEED to do more to aid understanding and support for LGBTQI women. There are various realities that people who identify as Lesbian, queer & bi-sexual, face every single day. Not only are they creating a change in their own lives, they are breaking down barriers for those to come. Let us use their examples to continue to defend, uplift and be allies where possible.
